BEER TOURS

OVERVIEW

We invite you to romance the history of Bangalore through the stories and flavours of beer. Beer was first brought to India by habitual beer drinkers, the British. Since in the 1700’s every ship carrying beer from England took a good 6 months to arrive and had to cross the equator twice, a special beer with extra hop and higher content of alcohol (to act as preserves) was shipped. It was pale and it was ale. The rhyming beer of this legend became known as the Indian Pale Ale. And ever since Bangalore has considered itself the Gateway of India for beer. We started it, and then we didn’t just sit on it.
