Traditional African jewellery

Modern art and craft often have influences of traditional African art.

The Khamba people are known to be skilled carvers and woodworkers, the Kisii people of western Africa are known for their intricate stone carvings. Their paintings are either abstract or are based on native African animals. They are usually bright paintings with the use of bold primary colours.

The Africans are also lovers of Jewellery. Earrings, nose rings, bangles and anklets are their go-to accessories. It is usually made from stone or metal with special attention given to detail work.
