Serengeti National Park


The 10-day tour of Kenya and Tanzania starts off at Nairobi, the capital of Kenya where sweet waters camp on Mount Kenya, as the first destination.
Located on the plains of Mount Kenya, overlooking a watering hole, this camp gives one a view of the wildlife, studded plains and snow-capped mountains.
Head over to Lake Nakuru the following day which used to be known for the wide variety of flamingos. This area is also home to the White Rhino and leopards.
Spot lions, cheetahs and other predators at the Masai Mara game reserve and different types of wildlife in a hot air balloon ride.
Head over to Serengeti National park and witness the migratory wild beers, zebra and antelope that roam the plains along with predators like lions, cheetahs, hyena etc.
End the tour at Ngorongoro which is home to the Big Five game.

Day 1: Arrival Nairobi 

• Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International

• Transfer to the hotel where you will receive a briefing about the safari

• Rest and relax, dinner at the hotel

Day 2: Nairobi – Ol Pejeta Sanctuary

• After breakfast, depart by road to Mount Kenya.

• Check into a luxury tented camp overlooking a waterhole.

• Enjoy magnificent views across the wildlife- studded plains to the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kenya.

• Dinner and Overnight at tented camp

Day 3: Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park

• After breakfast, proceed to Lake Nakuru set in a picturesque landscape of surrounding woodland and grassland next to Nakuru town.

• Sumptuous lunch at the lodge

• Proceed on an exciting game-drive including a visit to Baboon cliff.

• Take a chance to spot the white rhino and leopards at Lake Nakuru.

• The park is famous for a variety of beautiful water birds – a total of 450 species.

• In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at the lodge.

• Overnight at a forest game lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park – Mara Game Reserve

• After breakfast, proceed to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve via the Great Rift Valley.

• Enjoy the beautiful scenery during the drive.

• Arrive at your Lodge in time for lunch and check in at the lodge.

• In the afternoon, enjoy an enthralling game-viewing drive, spotting* lions, cheetahs and other spectacular predators.

• Enjoy a sumptuous dinner at your lodge.

Day 5: Full day of game-viewing

• After breakfast, proceed on a full-day game-viewing drive to search for the myriad species of game that make this reserve their home. It is not uncommon to see a lion kill in action!

• After a sumptuous lunch at your lodge, proceed for another exciting game drive, where you can expect to see the famous 'Big 5'.

• On this day you can enjoy the balloon safari.

• In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at your lodge.

• Overnight at a safari lodge

Day 6: Masai Mara – Serengeti

• After breakfast, drive to Isebania border with packed lunch boxes.

• Arrival at Isebania border after clearing with immigration

• Meet your Tanzania driver/guide and drive to Serengeti

• Enjoy an enroute game viewing in Serengeti national park

• Later check in at your lodge

• Dinner and overnight at lodge

Day 7: Masai Mara – Serengeti

• Breakfast at the lodge

• Full day game viewing in Serengeti National Park – The Serengeti eco-system contains the greatest concentration of wildlife in Africa.

• The varied topography and seasons create a hugely diverse range of landscapes and changing wildlife habitats.

• Millions of migratory wildebeest, zebra and antelope roam the plains together with their attendant predators such as lion, cheetah, hyena and jackal.

• Lunch, Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 8: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

• Breakfast at the lodge

• Morning drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area

• Arrive for lunch at a lodge

• Afternoon free to enjoy the activities at the lodge

• Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 9: Ngorongoro (Crater)

• With picnic lunches, after breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for a full day tour.

• The Crater is a world heritage site that is a haven for a variety of wildlife.

• Ngorongoro is the remnant of a volcano that blew apart, leaving a flat plain area ringed with steep walls, which now has a large soda lake, fresh springs and sheltering forests.

• There is a large concentration of animals in the Crater and sightings of the “Big Five” – Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Rhino and Leopard – are nearly an everyday affair.

• The structure of the Crater and the wildlife it attracts makes for a great African wildlife experience. Late in the afternoon ascend from the crater and drive for dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 10: Ngorongoro – Arusha – Kilimanjaro Airport

• Breakfast at the lodge

• Morning depart and drive to Arusha, lunch at Sundown Carnival

• Afterwards, transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight out
